International Shotokan Karate-Do Alliance (ISKDA) is the combined vision of Master Yoshikazu Sumi, Shihan Jan Knobel and Sensei Evan Singer for a united future in Shotokan Karate.
Master Y Sumi has combined 70 plus years of study, training, & experience to develop a unique combination of traditional JKA (Japan Karate Association) karate practice with the true understandings of Karate-Jitsu (pre-JKA).
ISKDA is a growing alliance (Network) of independent Shotokan practitioners in Australia with the same goal. All instructors listed either operate independently insured Dojo’s or support others by tutoring and mentoring karate practitioners without political interference and at no membership cost.

ISKDA is a proud member of the official world group, World JKA Karate Association (WJKA) and registered by the All Japan Karate-Do Federation (Japan) when commissioned.
